you might try looking for more information through my family line of george patterson who married Janet Hyslop, she was born in Sanquahar, Dumfires, Scotland, this family line through their children moved to canada and also to oregon. George and janet had a son named william also, Janets brother came with them and was living with them in wisconsin in 1860 janets brothers name is James Hyslop., they were also listed in 1870 census in baker Linn co., Missouri
