It's been a while so thought I should update my HYNES ancestor...
PATRICK HYNES/HYNDES (parents unknown) married JULIE/JULIA GINTEY/GINTY (parents unknown) who married and had a child/children including: ANN/ANNIE/HANNAH HYNES born October 1838 in Co Westmeath Ireland.
Patrick came to Australia pre March 1850 and settled in the Hunter Valley but I can find no record of JULIE accompaning him so am assuming she died in Ireland post 1839. Patrick re-married in March 1850 at Morpeth - to a Harriet Bailey. It has long been a rumour that there were 3 HYNES brothers who emigrated at the same time, but I can find no record of 3 brothers on assisted emigration records which means they came unassisted - in which case no records will exist - or separately.
Would be interested to share what has been discovered and trace the lines of GINTY and HYNES further back and ascertain all children of the couple.
