Can anyone clarify this family for me:
John Hyland born abt 1833 Ireland? married 1853 Mary Dwyer
Stepney Middlesex London england. Now I have located the following: possibly 2 chldren born in England one being John born 1855 and Margaret born 1859 they were in 1861 with a sister? sister-in-law Bridgette or Brigette. Also found the following, his witnesses to the marriage were a Thomas Hyland and Catherine Hyland. were these his parents or his brther and sister-in-law. If so is one Catharine COULDUCK his mother or sister-in-law?
Also the 2 chldren were not listed as being in the household in 1870 ane Co IL, neither are they listed as being in the estate of John in 1878. The ones listed were Margaret 18, Elizabeth 15, James 14, Mary 11, Thomas Patrick 9, and Katherine 6. Did these 2 children stay i England when the parents came to the US? Or were these the childrn of Bridget/Brigette? I do notknow of others in the husehold such as a husband fo said Bridgette/Brigette. Thanks somuch for your help with this famil.
