Mary Hyland, daughter of Michael

Who can tell me about Michael Hyland, father
of Mary (died 1926 in Tuam, Galway) wife of
John Egan, master tailor. Mary, my grandmother, was born in California about
1878. When she was orphaned at about the age of 12, she travelled to Ireland to be looked after by her uncle Laurence, a ploughman for the Duke of Leinster, near Maynooth. She took work in a hotel in Tuam
and married in that town in about 1895. She may have had an uncle or grandfather named James Hyland. Grateful for any leads.
