Jean, My g-grtgranfather was named Mark Hyland. He was born abt. August 1828 in Sussex, England. He married Sarah Wenham Oare Parish church on Dec 3, 1853. His father's name was Mark. MyMark and Sarah moved to DesMoines, Iowa. They had three children; Franklin, William, and my grandmother, Nettie. Sarah died in 1877, and Mark died in 1900, both are buried in Des Moines. You are my nearest connection to the Hylands. I hope it works. Frank
