Hi, I don't know if we are related or not, but I found your site interesting because not only are my mother's family members of the Hyland family of William and Ethel Hyland, but I live just down the road from Salmon Creek School, in Vancouver Washington!

My children went to that school and it was fun to see a picture of Salmon Creek in 1910!! It looks very different today, and they even have their own web site at www.vannet.k12.wa.us/salweb. It doesn't show much besides the building, though.

My Hyland Family came west from N. Dakota in about 1937 and eventually settled in Puyallup/Sumner Washington. Wm and Ethel are passed on now, but most of their children are still living.
