I believe you sent a reply to a much earlier message, that there was a Leroy Hyer living near St.Joseph's Church. Thank you again. I went there and found another Leroy, who I now believe was Lena's stepson. Lena Hyer, or (great)Aunt Lena, was my grandmother's sister, Anna K. Alley who is listed in Lena's obituary. I've been doing this research for my mother, so we can visit Lena's grave. We did find Lena's parents a year ago,in glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield, NJ. But we had lost Aunt Lena since her second marriage when she relocated to Keyport. (My grandparents bought and lived in Lena's house in West Orange, NJ). I'm happy to learn by reading Lena's obituary that she had family after all, via Roy Hyer's children by his first wife. All these years I thought she was along at the end of her life.
