Glad to hear from you David. I input your info on my freshest and here is the report. Would be interested in any more details you may have. In particular, Nelsons siblings, Marys' Hyder husband name. Maybe we could find them in NC or TN before they came to MI?Doris V. Chapell/Birchfield age 91, used to spend her summers at the Nelson Hyder farm and was close to Ruby. Her mother Edna Hughes/Birchfield worked in Stone Gap Va. after she left her family in TN right around 1900ish. Doris has edited a copy of my version and it's in the mail to me now. If any new details re Hyder/Shepherd/Hughes, I could forward after updating my file. Mary was my GGG Grandmother and a mystery. Also strangely, I went to High School in Milan MI, though born in FL, and my mother married an Ingham in FL, and her mother lived in Ingham co, MI. Strange eh!
Thanks Dennis L.Ingham
