Hyden Family Genealogy Forum

In my family Hyden book inherited from my father-in-law, it listes the Hyden that moved to Texas was James Goff Hyden (born 1/14/1787 in Stafford County to William & Elizabeth Eaton Hyden) and his wife, Lydia Anglin, sold their property in Lee County about 1830, and moved to eastern Illinois. By 1840, he was in Missouri, and in 1850, he and his family purchased 640 acres of property in Ellis County, Tx. His sons, Alexander and Abner, moved on down to Limestone County, Tx and were amoung the first white people in that area, with only Comanche Indians as neighbors.
I saw on your response that you know information about Anderson Hyden? I have been researching him and found out that I live in the county he did. There is no record of him in my family tree book, but oddly enough I feel he is definately related. Today my husband and I was out riding around and ran across the cemetery he is buried at. (Lee Cemetery, Bradley County, TN.) We stopped and saw his grave and I know he is related to most of the family in the cemetery. I would like to find out more about him, my husband wants to have his headstone redone as it is very worn.
Thanks.
Diane
