TE Cox

The William Alex Hyden that you refered to did NOT serve during the Civil war.

The William Alexander Hyden that served with the 20th Texas Cavalry was the son of John Hyden who was a brother to Alexander Hyden of Limestone county.

William Alex Hyden was my great grandfathers older brother. My great grandfather was Baily Hyden.

William Alex "Billie" sold his land to a Lenamon and left Limestone county before the 1895 recession when the price of cotton hit an all time low.

Billie moved to west Texas along the Brazos where Bailey and family joined him for awhile.

Later Billie moved to Indian territory in Oklahoma where he served as a missionary to the Indians.

Billie died of a heart attack in the early 1900s and was buried in Oklahoma.

Billie's wife returned to Limestone county where she died and was buried at Cobb cemetary.

Let me know if I can help you any more.

Ron Hyden
