I am researching my Hyde line and noticed you posted some information on the Hyde family on a website. Are you related to the same Ebenezer Hyde b. 1732, d. 1755.
"Ebenezer Hyde, born at Lebanon, Conn., 10 Sept., 1732, third son of Ebenezer Hyde and Dorothy Throop of L., was a grandson of Samuel Hyde of the third generation. He m. Phebe -------.They settled at Lebanon, where he died before the 26 Dec., 1755; when administration on his estate was granted."
Above taken from the Hyde Genealogy book, 1864, pages 79 & 80.
"Ebenezer was born at Lebanon, Conn., Sept 18th, 1732 married Pheobe -------.They settled at Lebanon where he died before Dec. 1755, when administration on his estate was granted.Their only child was Lucia, who married William Lisk and settled at Lebanon, where he died June 1808.She had previously separated from him and was living with some of her children near Cooperstown, N.Y.They had a son Daniel and a "daughter Anna who married Collins".
Above taken from a Johnson history, by Caroline Worley, 1911.
"A daughter, b. at Lebanon, who m. William Lisk, and settled at Lebanon, where he d. 27 June, 1808.She had previously separated from him, and was living with some of their children near Cooperstown.I have no further account of this Ebenezer Hyde, and his family, or of his descendants, except that William Lisk and wife had a son, Dan Lisk, who married and had a family. He may have been the husband of Abigail Waterman."
Above taken from the Hyde Genealogy book, 1864, page 80.
"I was unable to find out anything about the Lisks. The above was taken from the Hyde Genealogy in the Newberry Library, except the last line.I verified it by talking with Aunt Ann.This is the family that there was so much talk about a large estate coming to us and that we had an interest, in Hyde Park, London, England.I could find no record that would connect us with Queen Anne of England, whose father owned Hyde Park, and if there were any, I am afraid it would be a left-handed one.Annifred Ensign has a sampler that was made by Lucia Hyde.We are connected with all the Hydes of New York and can be proud of the connection as there are many noted ones in the family."
Above taken from Caroline Couch Worley's record of the Johnson family.Aunt Ann must have been Anna Maria Johnson.
I am trying to connect to Lydia Hyde as an ancestor of the Bradford line. This is my last hurdle in becoming a member of the Mayflower Society. My sources are limited to the Hyde book written 1864.
