HYDE & RIGGS FAMILIES WITH OK & TX ROOTS
I am looking for information on Hydes and Riggs that livedin the SE Okla and NE TX areas in the late 1800's and early 1900's.
I have been told that my g-grandmother,
Nancy Elizabeth, was a Riggs, and her mother was a Hyde. It could possibly be the other way around.I found her on the 1910 Census in Red River Co, TX, listed with her husband Lewis A Scaggs and children. She is buried in the Albion Cemetery, with only a headstone listing"Nannie".Her uncle, HYDE (?) was a decorated war veteran, but most of the inscription on his tombstone was not legible.
