Hello!
I, too, have an ancestor who is a 'Hyde'. Maybe we connect somehow. My ggggrandmother's mother, was Mary Hansford, daughter of William Hansford and Mary Sarah HYDE. I have no further info on her, but can go back to King Edward the First on the Hansford line.I received the infor from a very reliable source--- so, it is possible that there was nobility on the Hyde line as well. I have also been in touch with an English geneologist in London. He said that during the 1600's on back, no one married out of their class. Many Americans have royalty in their blood lines and do not know it -- there were so many descendants in the European countries that were not in direct line to the throne that they decided to just come to the New World.
