Noel Hyde/Elizabeth Black descendents
Noel Hyde, b. abt. 1776, and Elizabeth Black had a daughter named Sara.Sara, b. abt. 1800, SC, married Anthony Fowler, b. 1798.Son of Sara and Anthony Fowler, Nicholas D Fowler, b. March, 1830 married Malinda (Linda) unknown.Nicholas D Fowler and Linda had a daughter, Laura A, b. abt. 1859.Laura A Fowler married Joseph E Barron, b. 1855 in Lumpkin Co., Ga.They were married on August 13, 1891 in Lumpkin Co., Ga.
Now for my mystery....
Malinda (Linda) Fowler disowned her daughter Laura because she didn't approve of her marriage to Joseph E Barron. Her reason being that they were cousins.
Joseph Barron's father was Gabriel Barron, b. abt. 1819, Pickens Co, SC.Gabriel married Martha A Hyde, b. abt. 1825, on May 6, 1849 in Lumpkin Co.
In 1860, Dawson Co, Ga, family # 90 was Daniel Hyde, b. abt. 1788 in NC, Hannah Hyde, b. abt. 1797, SC, Elizabeth, age 40 , b. SC., Daniel L., age 24, b SC, Manda A, age 22, b. SC.
family #91 was Gabriel Barron, age 38, Martha A, age 24, Isaac, age 9, Hannah, age 4, Joseph (my great grandfather who married Laura Fowler), age 2.On this census, their name is spelled Barrow instead of Barron.
family #92 was Isaac Barron, age 69 and his wife Winaford, age 67.
On this census however, their last name is spelled Barrow instead of Barron.
I am trying desperately to connect my Martha Hyde to Daniel Hyde and Noel Hyde. That would explain how Laura Fowler and Joseph Barron could be cousins.
