Reading your post is like looking at something through water: It looks familiar, but the details are distorted. This information probably is no help to you, but I can't resist sharing it. It is just too bizarre of a coincidence:
In our Hyde family tree, we have several Myron Hydes, and a Martha J. Davis. However, we have no Newell, no Leafy, no twin, or any of the other people you mention.
In our family:
Myron Hyde was not a twin. He was born in Poultney, VT in 1810. He married Climena Warner and they moved from Poultney to Potter County, PA in 1832. Myron and Climina died with days of each other in 1836. We do not know where they are buried. Their deaths orphaned their three children who were raised by family and neighbors.
Myron's son, Julius Myron (b. 1830), married Martha Jane Davis on 7/3/1858 in Potter County. They had four children. Martha died giving birth to the last, another Myron.
Isn't this amazing?
