obit: Delphia Richesin Hyde 83 Niota, TN died Jan 18, 2009
Delphia Richesin Hyde, 83, of the Pond Hill Community near Niota, died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009, at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville.
A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was a daughter of the late John Summer and Mary Barnes Richesin, and was a member of Pond Hill Baptist Church. She was a former employee of Athens Chair Company and also farmed with her late husband. She was an avid Lady Vols basketball fan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Hyde, on Dec. 13, 2004; one son, Kenny Hyde, on Sept. 30, 2006; three brothers, Frank, Buck and Amos Richesin; and four sisters, Maye Price, Blanche Hyde, Laura Webb and Gertrude Richesin. Survivors include one brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Gena Richesin of Athens; one sister-in-law, Ardell Hyde of Decatur; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Bill and Barbara Irons of Niota, and Jane Irons of Athens.
Funeral services will be noon Wednesday at Pond Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. J.W. Irons and Chaplain Greg Harper officiating. Burial will follow in Foster Cemetery and will conclude with a white dove release. The body will lie in-state for one hour prior to the service at the church.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Hyde, Teddy Hyde, Mike Hyde, Dewight Walden, Dennis Campbell and Richard Wallace.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
