Richard Hyde, dyer of Aberdeen, Scotland, 18th century
I have pretty clear records to show that I am descended from a Richard Hyde, said to be a dyer, in 18th century Aberdeen, Scotland. My ancestry is through his son, James, who married Elizabeth Campbell.
I would be interested in any information regarding Richard Hyde.In particular I would like to find a descendent chart to see if my records match. Also, there is a family tradition, unsupported by documentation, that Richard Hyde is connected to Lord Clarendon Hyde of Aberdeen and the West Indies.Does anyone have any basis for accepting or rejecting that tradition?
I would be glad to share my descendant data on Richard Hyde.
Charles Forbes
