Hi Jim -
I know your message is pretty old but I thought I would take a shot and see if you were still monitoring the boards.I have recently tried plugging in some of the Hydes again with some more recent info I have.Thomas and Hannah Hyde were my 7th great grandparents through their daughter Mary Hyde Kellow, who married John Kellow.I recently found an English christening record that matches everyone pretty well, but I can't prove it's the same folks of course. The record is:
Mary Hide, christened 7 December 1676 at St. Mary Whitechapel, Stepney, London, England; parents Thomas and Hannah Hide.
There's also an interesting marriage record:
Thomas Hyde - married Hannah White (born Highgate, London, England) on 1 June 1664 Islington, London, England
These records are from the LDS FamilySearch.org site.Of course I can't prove these are the same folks in Maryland, but the names and dates are perfect, plus they put the Hydes in London prior to 1680.The son of John Kellow and Mary Hyde (Thomas Hyde Kellow) was born in 1694-95 (based on a later court deposition) so there's nothing here that does not fit.For now, I have these records filed away in the "possibilities" drawer.
Terry
