Not knowing if Mary Collier was the eldest, youngest, or in between, I can't really pinpoint a birth year for her.
No one knows for sure exactly when Mary Sowerby and John Collier married. It has been estimated at 1666, but I'm not sure. If she was a daughter of Thomas Sowerby, which is still not proven, and there are other theories, she was probably born abt 1650 and married young, abt 1664-1666. But records indicate that John Collier may have been a contemporary of Thomas Sowerby, and born about 1631.
Either John was much older than his wife,or Mary wasn't a daughter of Thomas, but maybe a sister or some other relative. Some people think she was actually a LEE, and was the sister of Anne Lee. Other researchers have her birthdate as abt 1640. If so, then she could have married John Collier earlier than the mid 1660s. I wish I had a definitive answer.
Mary Sowerby had another daughter byher marriage to John Rawlings. Elizabeth Rawlings married Robert PARTIN. They had a daughter named Lucy, but I haven't traced Lucy's line and don't know if there are any female line descendants out there who could be dna tested. I'll try to find out, though.
