It looks like they eventually moved to Boston. In a quick census search I found the following:
In 1820 I found Artemas and Asa Hide living in Boston on Milk St.
In 1830 I found both John Hyde and Abigail Jackson living in Boston
In 1850 I found John Hyde age 60 living in Boston in the same dwelling as Abigail Jackson age 86 along with Hannah Hyde age 30, Emily A Hyde age 19, Harriet Hyde age 16, and other individuals with surnames Wilson, Whitcomb and Woodward.
According to Jackson's "History of Newton, MA" John Hyde Sr. died in 1802 and his wife Abigail married Mr. Jackson of Brookline.Abigail died in 1852 at age 90.
This brings me to the conclusion that John Hyde Jr of this family is not my John Hyde.
I hope this helps you though!
