If you are descended from Martha Hyde and Samuel Ibbotson then we are from the same family.
Martha Hyde was baptised at Allostock Presbyterian Chapel near to Holmes Chapel on January 31st, 1787. She was the daughter of Thomas and Sarah Hyde of Bradshaw, Mellor, then in Derbyshire.
Her older sister, Mary Hyde, was my 3xGt. Grandmother. Mary was also baptised at Allostock on November 30th, 1783. She married Thomas Saxon at Glossop Parish Church on 27th October 1801.
I have lots of details about the family of Thomas Hyde, described as a Yeoman Farmer. Samuel Ibbotson and Thomas Saxon are both named as beneficiaries in Thomas Hyde’s will (29th May, 1823).
Samuel Ibbotson inherited a part of Ringstones Farm, Rowarth, which adjoins Bradshaw Farm, Mellor. He is described as a farmer.
I have further details of the Hyde families of Bradshaw, from c. 1690 to the present day, and am more than willing to exchange information. Hope to hear from you soon.
Eric.
