Hi Marie, thanks for the response tomy post. It is exciting to find someone researching my same line. Thanks also for the last name of Charlotte I didn't have that. I got much of my information from my Uncle Sam who remembered a good deal of family history. He was born in 1900 so he remembered some of the Hydes in the past. He knew where the cemetary was etc. and the old homestead. Charles is buried in the Sepulga Church Cemetery. Another cemetery is at the Mt. Union Methodist Church. These Churches are in Evergreen, Alabama. The Hydes according to my late Uncle lived a small community called herbert just outside of Evergreen. As I recall the graves were easy to find but that could have been because my Uncle was with me. They are well marked with nice sized tombstones. My email address is [email protected] if you would like to compare notes. I also found in the county records that they also lived in Old Town. The inscription on Charles grave was; "HE FOLLOWED VIRTUE AS HIS TRUSTED GUIDE. LIVED AS ACHRISTIAN, AS A CHRISTIAN HE DIED" B. DEC 3, 1819, DIED JULY 24 1882.
