Pulling at straws here but I noticed your connection to Vt. and Northern NY. I live in St. Lawrence County NY in the town of Macomb. There is an old cemetary near my home with many lines of my family buried there. One of the lines is Able Hyde 1799-1868 and wife Philena ?maiden name Hyde 1810- 1858. I have reason to believe they were from VT. Their daughter Mary married George Finley and their daughter Cleora (Laura) married Jacob Raven. Jacob and Cleora are my g-grandparents. I have traced multiple lines of this tree but I cannot prove where Able andPhilena came from. I believe Able had a brother named Wolcott Hyde who is buried in another cemetary near my home. Wolcott was born in 1802 I believe in Northern Vt. and was a blacksmith by trade. I have much scattered info on these lines but nothing to date to put them together. Many people settled in this area post Rev. War. Many stayed in this area and many headed west. Often I find common surnames to my family lines. Any links please email.
