Steven, my greatgrandfather is James from (we think) Co. Cork - "Cove" in particular.His father may have been a William Hyde who married a Margaret Saunders.My James may have had brothers of whom often one is named for the father hence "William".Is your family Catholic? our Hydes were.My James probably was born in the 1850's or early 1860's, so the date is good for you and us...see what you can find from death certificates i.e. especially of your grandfather's parents usually listed, and of your greatgrandparents.a long shot but who knows??!!look forward to hearing from you.gayle
