I typed the article as it appeared on the old newspaper microfilm.I know very little about the "HYDE" family. My Henry WHYDE had been born in Dresden,Ohio in 1817.Other searchers have suggested that a Nicholas HYDE was a relative. We are at a standstill as to WHO was Henry's parents.Everything is speculation at this point. It also has been speculated that Henry WHYDE was a relative to George HIDE b. about 1770 who was listed in the 1830 Ohio Census of Coshocton Co, Franklin Twp., but again, I have no proof that they were, in fact, related at this point. We've heard the WHYDE's migrated from VA, MD, and PA, but so far they are only proven to have "hatched" in Black Run, Ohio!!
Someone, somewhere, out there has a tidbit of proof....and I can't wait to be in touch with them.Maybe one or two of those "millions of dollars" could get a ghost or two to talk to us?! Huh?
