Unsure if there's any connection, but my great grandfather's name was Charles.I too am seeking any info on the Hydes of Bakersfield/Burlington VT.I do not know his wifes name, I only know that she died giving birth to twins, in which only one survived. The names (that I know) of Charles children are as follows:Irene, Rupert, Adrien, Catherene, and surviving twin, Lilia.Catherene and Lilia are alive and well living in NH.Irene recently passed last year.
the only one who ever married was Catherene. She had a daughter, Loretta who was raised by the other four on a dairy farm in Bakersfield Vermont, in which the brothers and sisters owned and opertated until sometime in the mid 70's.They then sold it (for very much$$$$) to a 60s-ish group of kids who turned it into some type of (hippieish) religious community.
I've heard that one of the original kids bought out the rest and has restored the beautiful three story victorian-type house to the best of his knowledge.
Please let me know if there might be a connection. If so, I'll be glad to asked my mother any questions you may have.
