I am posting this as an aide to other genealogists.
This is an obit of a person that has died in Canada.
THIS IS NOT a relative of mine.

HYATT, Lloyd Phillips: Went to be with his Lord on July 8, 2007 at the age of 61. He is survived by his loving wife Merrie; four daughters: Anne Marie (Maurice) of Vermilion, AB, Leah (Vern) of Ladner, BC, Teresa (Brad) of Edmonton, AB, Krista of Kelowna; son Darryn (Alice) of Penticton; seventeen grandchildren; one great grandchild; two sisters: Patricia and son Darryn of White Rock, BC, Pamela and son Taylor and daughter Staci of Edmonton, AB and his cherished mother, Ena Mair. Predeceased by his father Lloyd Goodwin and precious granddaughter Nicole Eva Marie. Lloyd was born in Llanelly, Wales on March 24, 1946. His earliest years were spent in Lea Park and Lloydminster, Alberta, where he developed a life long love of learning and a great sense of adventure. Lloyd spent his professional life as an Educator and many of the students that benefited from his lessons were his own children and grandchildren. His adventurous side saw him travel to many areas around the world and took him and Merrie to Canada’s Arctic to live for a number of years where they formed many wonderful friendships and truly "adventured". In 1996 by Queen’s Commission, he became a 2nd Lieutenant in Canada’s Armed Forces Reserves. Lloyd had an immense love for his family, which was returned a hundred fold. He loved his mother dearly. He gave his wife Merrie many beautiful, loving memories to cherish and he truly loved his mother-in-law Rene, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law were special to him. The family will be forever grateful to Doctor’s Brower, Bystrom, Delorme and Mohammed for the efforts they made to help Lloyd during his relatively short illness and to Dr. Homan for her compassion and for ensuring Lloyd’s comfort at the end of his life. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, July 12th at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC with Reverend Kirby Friesen officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Aplastic Anemia & Myelodysplasia Association of Canada. A gift in living memory of Lloyd will be made to "Holding Hands for Hospice" by Springfield Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.springfieldfuneralhome.com (250) 860-7077.
