My great grandfather was Joseph Henry Hutto of Mitchell County Georgia. I find him in the 1860 Census living with a Wilson L Alger and Mary Alger. In the 1860 cencus he is 6 years old and is just called Joseph. I then find him in the 1870 cencus he is now 16 but is referred to as Henry. He is still living with Mary Alger and Mary's Daughter. Wilson, Mary's husband was killed in the civil war. If anyone has information as to who Joseph Henry Hutto's father was and why he was living with Wilson and Mary Alger. I would greatly appreciate any information you could give me.
