I am a Hutt, and when my relatives lived in Quebec, they spelled it HOTTE so maybe you should try that route.They are definatly French and the other spelling (hutt) is not!! Also try "Hutte" If you can go to a Mormon Family History Center, you can look up what is called a Loisalle Marriage Index. And you can go to the Genealogical section of the Montreal Municipal Library and they say you can trace your relatives in a day.
