Francis & Mary HUTT in QUE & ONT

Hi, we are trying to track down where Francis and Mary Hutt came from.

We know that they were both born in Canada East (which is now Quebec) but that is a lot of territory!

Francis HUTT b. 1782 Canada East
Mary HUTT b 1784 Canada East

They came to Matilda Twp, Dundas Co, ONTARIO but I don't know when. They eventually settles in Winchester Twp, Dundas Co. and we were able to track them through the census.

1851 ONTARIO CENSUS
SURNAME HUTT
NAME JOB P.O.B. REL'GN AGE
Francis Farmer Can East RC 66
Mary Can East RC 69
(1851 Ontario Census for Dundas, Winchester Twp., page 49.)

We know they were French speaking and RC, but other than this, we don't know a thing! I've seen HUTTs from England, but these folks were most likely from France!

Any connections? Ideas? Suggestions?

Moneca & Dave Price
