Re Adam Hutt 1762-1842/Doroty Ball
Like you I am a desendent of James Erastus but from Erastus Robert through his first wife Eliza Eleanor Killman. My family Records show James Erastus was the sixth child of William Hutt 1784-1830 and Mary Hagar 1792-1865. William was the first born of eight children born to Adam and Dorothy Ball. Adam was born in Schoharie NY Dec 4 1762 . At this point my records differ from those posted by Ann Fowler. This Adam was one of eight children born to Adam Hutt and His wife Evangeline who emigrated from Germany to Schoharie in 1756. Our records only indicated that they came from one of the Palatinate states and so Ann's records take us back two more generations. There are three, not two Adam Hutts in the family tree, the third being the second son of Adam and Dorothy.
