Sounds like we're talking about the same ppl with a few discrepencies (sp)
Earl married Dorothy and had 2 daughters Edna Gay Matthews and Earla Joy Matthews. Gay Matthews married 3 x I was her 1st daughter b 1/11/55. Joy Matthews married Grant Nelms and had my cousins 3 cousins.
The children below I got from a book that has alot of Matthews in it as they were in the party that came from Missouri through the Oregon Trail.
The Clifford u had as 3rd child was James Clifford ... that's what confused me lol. I also have Marren Matthews... will have to check book, I dont see a Donald Matthews in my notes.
yes, John Monroe Matthews and John Madison Matthews were twins. They were born in the back of a covered wagon on their way to Oregon. Caroline Hutsell Matthew's 2 sisters helped deliver them.
Thanks for the info on Gratia. I had her down as wedding both but with a big Question mark. Discrepency on middle name of James.. will look that up. Thanks for info on daughter.
