Beulah S. Loe, 98 September 27, 1904 - September 24, 2003 Beulah S. Loe, 98, of Columbia City, died at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, September 24, 2003 at Renaissance Village, Fort Wayne. Born in Star City on September 24, 1904, she was a daughter of John Richard Silas and Minnie Magline (Crumpacker) Hutsell. She attended school in Missouri, living there until she was 18 years old, then made Whitley County her home for the past 80 years. Her former spouse was Clarence Foster who is deceased. She then married Leroy Joseph Loe; who died April 12, 1973. She worked at the Woolen Mill for 15 years and at Fort Wayne State Hospital and Training Center until her retirement in 1969. She then worked part-time at Village Cleaning Center and the Downtown Laundry for two years and at Whitley Memorial Hospital for six and one-half years in housekeeping. Survivors include two sons, Patrick Loe. of Holiday, Fla., and Marvin Loe of Phoenix, Ariz.; two daughters, Rowena M. Weeks of Ridgecrest, Calif., and Susan Loe of Coiumbia City; a step-son, James Loe of Holiday, Fla.; and a step daughter, Martha M. Harper of Columbia City; 29 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and two husbands, she was preceded in death by two sons, a daughter, three grandchildren; five brothers and three sisters. A memorial service is from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4 at Shoda- Wilkinson Funeral Home with Dale Moser of Gospel Land Christian Center officiating. Burial is at Nolt Cemetery.
