My husband's ancestor was PeterHutchinson, Sr. who married Nancy, daughter of Lewis Green. Peter and Nancy lived in vicinity of present day Scott county, VA. Lewis Green left a will so I have a source for that information.
The ancestral file at my local FHC gives this information regarding the parentage of Peter Hutchinson, whose siblings were said to include Sally Hutchinson who married Sam Lessley. I am confused because it differs from you have. I haven't researched this line myself so would appreciate any clarification anyone can provide.
What I have from the AF is that James P. Hutchinson was born Jan 10, 1692 in Belfast, Ireland and married Hannah Howerton in Belfast in 1736. James Hutchinson said to have died in Virginia on November 12, 1748 with wife Hannah dying April 7, 1770, also in Virginia. Their children were said to be Elizabeth, born in Ireland in 1737 who married Andrew Jackson about 1660 in Antrim and died November 2, 1781 in Charleston, SC. These were the parents of President Andrew Jackson. The second child of James and Hannah Howerton Hutchinson was said to be Martha, born about 1740; then Jane, born abt 1745 in Ireland who married James Crawford; Sally, born abt 1747 in Ireland who married Sam Lessley; Peter Sr. born 1748 in France and died June 30, 1785 who married Nancy Green (Peter owned land in present day Scott county); and Jannette born abt 1749 in France who married Jack Lessley.
Obviously these must be approximate dates since James P. Hutchinson is said to have died in Virginia in 1748 and daughter Jannette said to have been born in France the following year; however, he may have preceded his family to the New World. As I said, I do not know how much of this is accurate but would very much like to resolve the discrepancies in Peter's parentage, assuming that he belongs in the same family group as Sally, Elizabeth, etc.
