Lt. Col. Lyford Hutchins

I am an art researcher, and occasionally, when I encounter something interesting, with a bit of age to it, and that can be positively identified, I will let the family of origin know of the item's existence. In this case, it is a little 1908 child's coloring, sketch, and scrap book, once owned by the child who would become war hero, Lt. Col. Lyford Hutchins. Hutchins, who served in no less than 3 wars, was on active duty from 1942- 1974. It was during World War II, when he was a forward air controller, that he was decorated with the Bronze Star, Air Medal, and the Purple Heart. For anyone from the family who may be interested, the item is posted for sale under the title "©1908 Juvenile Painting Gallery Hard Cover Book," on the TimePassagesNostalgia.com website.

Take good care,

Linda T.
