Shirley...I find that very interesting, but not conclusive. Keep in mind that Charlie T. & Elizabeth were md. in Monroe Co., TN ca. 1816, she was abt. 14 yrs old.

The Liberty you speak of was b. 1812 in McNairy Co., TN.

Charlie T. & Eliz. didn't move to McNairy Co. until 1827 and they did so because "squatter land" opened up.

In 1830, there is no Bird/Byrd listed in McNairy Co., so Charlie T. & Eliz. weren't in contact with any Birds/Byrds there at that time.

1832 your Liberty Byrd is in Maury Co., TN.

1835 the Hutchesons have moved to Tishomingo Co., MS. They do move to Carrol Co., AR by 1849.

Your Liberty moved to Pope Co., AR abt. 1850.

I just don't see where Charlie T. & Eliz. Hutcheson were living anywhere near your Byrds at any time.

I believe that the name Nicodemus comes from either the Bible or from the Nicodemus Keith who was in McNairy Co. in 1830. My Nicodemus' middle initial stood for "Deem". Yours was Deuteronomy, which leads me to believe your Nicodemus was named from the Bible.

Hope I have helped.

Margaret
