Arthur Hutcheson was born in Ireland in 1818. He came to America in 1836. His uncle, James Hutcheson paid his passage. Arthur died 1895 in Carroll County, GA. Arthur never married. He became a very prominent man in the Carroll County GA area. He bought a textile mill (later called Banning Mill) and is credited with installing the first lighting system in a mill in GA, enabling them to work around the clock in 3 shifts. He also built several more mills, a mill village, school, church, etc. When Arthur died he left his estate to family living in GA. His uncle may have predeceased him but lived in Coweta County, GA (Newnan area), adjacent to Carroll.
Does anyone know who arthur Hutcheson's family was? Any help appreciated.
