Anne Hutcheson (b. 1640) Cotton, VA

Anne Hutcheson married John Cotton and lived in Virginia during the time of Bacon's Rebellion. She wrote an account of Bacon's Rebellion which is in the Massachusettes Historical Society Collection. She also wrote "Narrative of the Indian and Civil Wars in Virginia in the years 1675 and 1676." She died Queens Creek, York County, Virginia.
This information gives curious clues. Anne was obviously well educated at a time when women were not always educated. She had some standing in the colony. The family also was apparently well-connected to the king as they were not punished for their support of Bacon.
Her husband, John Cotton, is recorded to be a "Sir John Cotton." He was born in England in 1630 and died in 1691 in Virginia. He was a Justice and landowner in York and Accomack Counties in Virginia, but first appeared in Isle of Wight County, Virginia.
Does anyone have further information about Anne Hutchinson Cotton or this John Cotton?
