One of my great great grandmothers was Susan Hightower daughter or Ephraim Sr. and Annie (believed nee:Smith) Hightower of Georgia. Susan was born circa 1829 and was first married to a man named Hutcheson, possibly his first initial was "C" and his name may have been Charles? It is believed they moved from Georgia to Tennessee and eventually to Hood (old Johnson County) County and Parker County, Texas. Their believed first-born daughter was named Mary Frances and called "Fannie". She was born in December, 1861? Her father may have died in Millsap, Texas in an accident or in service with the C.S.A. before 1865? Susan later remarried an Eliza Millican a.k.a. Nelson Milliken and at least three additional children were born to the second marriage: Martha, Polly and Fred.
I have been searching for 40 years for Susan's Hutcheson husband's Christian name. Mary Frances married Charles Brady of Granbury, Texas; Martha or "Mattie" as she was called married a Dunlap or Gilstrap and lived in Oklahoma/Indian Territory; Polly married a man named Swain and lived in Weatherford, Texas and nothing is known about Fred?
