I am looking for anyone who is looking for further information on the Hutcherson Family of Pittsylvania County, Virginia. My line of descent begins with Joseph L. Hutcherson b. 1821 in Pittsylvania Co., Va. d. Unknown married 6 Dec. 1841 in Pittsylvania Co., Va. to Mary Ann Mayhew, his first cousin b. 1821 in Pittsylvania Co., Va. d. 30 Nov. 1875 in Pittsylvania Co., Va. Mary Ann was a daughter of Samuel Mayhew and Celia Thacker of Va. Joesph & Mary Ann were the parents of the following children: Mickie b. 1845 m. N.P. Willis, George P. Hutcherson b. 1846 m. Elvy Haden, Mary Hutcherson b. 1848, Elma b. 1840 married Wm. Daniel, Rosa b. 1850 m. Wm. T. Goad, Catherine Hutcherson b. 1853 m. William A. Mitchell, Joseph Vaden b. 1855 m. Lucinda Smith, Ralley Hutcherson b. 1858, Joanna Hutcherson b. 1862 m. Robert Nance.
This line is very tricky, because the name HUTCHERSON changes through alot of it. My ggg grandfather was a son of Joseph Vaden Hutcherson and his name changed from HUTCHERSON to HUTCHENSON to HUTCHINSON. So, no matter the spelling, you're probably kin. Also, does anyone who my Joseph L's parents may be? I think they are Jeremiah & Polly (Thacker) Hutcherson of Va. However, need further info & a really GOOD source.
