Diana - I think it's possible that Telitha was also married to Isaac HARVEY from Grainger Co., TN.

1850 Grainger Co., TN census, p. 86 for Isaac HARVEY. He is head of household #1/1 or #1250/1285 (these larger numbers written in smaller writing above the #1/1, Dist. #11. He is 25 b. TN a farmer and Elitha (sic) is 34 b. VA, William Harvey is 3 b. TN and twins Permilia I and Marshall A. are 2/12 months old b. TN. This census was sent to me, so I don't know if it was copied correctly or not, due to the following:

1860 - cannot find the family of Isaac HARVEY.

1870 Marion Twp., Ozark Co., MO census, page 213, family #51/51, - W. F. Harvy 23 b. TN, farmer, wife Malinda J. 18 MO.
1880 - still in Ozark Co., MO along with his brother Marshall Harvey.
1900 Jasper Twp., Ozark Co., MO census, page 71b, family #125/126 - W. S. Harvey 53 b. TN (? 1847), father b. ?, mother b. VA, married for 24 years, wife, M. J. Harvey b. Apr 1852 MO, who had 1 child-1 living: Anna b. Mar 1884 MO. So... if W. S. and Marshall were both born in 1847, then the 1850 is wrong or mis-copied?

1870 Marion Twp., Ozark Co., MO census, page 214b, - Marshell A. Harvey 17 b. TN, does farm labor, lived in household #65/65 with (cousin?) J. M. Hutchison 28 b. TN, farmer $500-$176, wife Harriett 23 b. MI, Mary E. 3 MO & Joseph M. 10/12 MO.
FTM CD#234 - Marriage Index: Missouri, 1851-1900 - Harvy, Marshall m. Davis, Sarah Jane in Ozark Co., MO on Nov 2, 1876.
1900 Marion Twp., Ozark Co., MO census, page 98, family #1/1 - Marshall A. Harvey 53 b. TN (March 1847), father b. TN, mother b. VA, shows to be married for 24 years, wife, Sarah J., listed 3rd in the household, after the daugther Mary b. July 1877 MO (father b. TN mother b. MO). Sarah J. Harvey's birth date is not listed, but she was born in MO, had 6 children-4 living. Son, Enoch Harvey b. May 1890 in MO.

I think it is obvious that William and Marshall HARVEY are the children from the 1850 Grainger Co., TN census. In 1870, they are both living very near Telitha THOMPSON, who was staying with the James M. PILAND family.

My interest is really with the HARVEY/DOSS connections from Grainger Co., TN. In 1850 Grainger Co., TN, Henry DOSS was the next door neighbor to Isaac & Elitha (sic) HARVEY. Henry DOSS b. April 02, 1822 m. Lulizy HARVEY November 01, 1849 Grainger Co., TN. I think Lulizy and Isaac HARVEY may have been siblings.

The HARVEY connection with DOSS goes back to January 1793 Franklin Co., VA where Charles DOSS m. Sarah HARVEY, dau. of Thomas HARVEY. Charles & Sarah were most likely the parents of Thomas DOSS who moved to Grainger Co., TN by the early 1830s at least.

While Thomas DOSS moved to Lincoln Co., KY, many of his children, including Henry DOSS, moved to IN and MO. I have webpages for Thomas DOSS, should you be interested:
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~janicekmc/dossthos.html and I would love to know if you've made any other "discoveries" regarding Telitha.

Regards,
Janice
