Athelia Elizabeth HUTCHERSON / HUTCHINSON married James M. PILAND on 7 Jul 1859 in Ozark Co., MO. In the 1870 census of Ozark Co., MO, we find a Telitha THOMPSON living with Athelia & James, whom I believe is Athelia's twice married, twice widowed mother.
Talitha's other children by her first husband were James (b. 1841), William (b. 1847), Marsel [Marcell] (b. 1849), and Mary "Polly" A. (b. 1852). Talitha was born ca. 1810 in Virginia; the children were all born in Tennessee. I believe Talitha married first Mr. HUTCHERSON/HUTCHINSON, then married second (ca. 1854-60) to Sanders THOMPSON (no issue with Sanders).
The birthplace and birthdates of Talitha's children indicate that, in the 1850 census, she should be living with her first husband in Tennessee, yet I can seem to find them.
Need further information about Talitha and her first husband, especially their location in the 1850 census.
