Geri: It's me (Sandy) again this morning with questions and add. info. I was not familiar with the name of Lelia Morford, who you have as Uncle Bill's wife, but my husband tells me that he was married before he married Anna_________. She was the one I knew, as well as most of their children. They had Berniece, Helen, LaVaughn, Norma Lavern, Patricia, Richard and maybe an Alice. John says that he thinks one child died. In a census that I found it listed Elsie and Birdie as children. It makes me wonder if they were his children by Lelia or was Birdie short for Berniece? Not sure on these, but Patricia (Patty) is still living and I could get that info from her. What was your grandfather's name and his sister, also. I know that Martha Owens had a brother named Jess Owens, because we visited him often when he was alive and living south of Pleasanton, Ks. In 1963-64 Jess whittled and made a big rocking horse out of lumber taken from the old barn on the farm where he lived, all by hand. I intend to put copies of the pictures in the Trading Post Museum soon, of it and our daughter. Uncle Jess is buried at the old Swayback Cemetery just north of Trading Post on the west side of the road (so. of old school). The museum has some new info on the Owens family, as she called me to let me know it was there and hopefully I can go this weekend to look at it. In your one inquiry you said you had letters, postcards and pictures from Will and John. Are they related to my William and John (children of Peter) or are they in reference to someone else? Otherwise, how do they connect to the family? Will await your reply as I'm excited to find someone who actually knows something about our end of this family. Best Wishes, Sandy
