On a recent trip to New York, I found several Husted tombstones in the cemetery behind the church in Standfordville. Some of the information is already posted on rootsweb, some is not. Here are some bits and pieces I haven't seen elsewhere. Myron HUSTED, b. 31 May 1823; d. 31 March 1901 Phebe, w/o Myron, d. 3 April 1890, age 69 [Through census and other records, I determined that Myron was the son of Matthew, s/o Jethro, s/o Joseph, s/o David, s/o Joseph, s/o Angell, s/o Robert] James HUSTED, b. 14 May 1834, d. 4 January 1920 J. Fannie ADSITT, his wife, b. 16 September 1836, d. 8 January 1882 [He was the brother of Canfield HUSTED, both sons of Germond HUSTED, Jr. and Catherine CANFIELD. Germond, Catherine and Canfield are buried in the Bangall Cemetery just a few miles away. The J. in James' wife's name is for "Julia".] Most of the stones were for descendants of the twins Lewis and Reuben HUSTED, B. 3 September 1796, sons of Ananias. And now for a mystery I can't solve: Who was Hermance HUSTED, b. 14 April 1816, d. 3 November 1867? (not sure of death year) There's a tall spire with his information, but I can't place him in his family of origin. I did my best to read the stones - but please forgive and let me know if there are errors. Hope this helps someone. Shirley Roemer Notify Administrator about this message?
