On the 1870 Census for Hyde Park, Dutchess Co. NY my gg grandfather Edward T. Vail, his wife and 4 children are living in the home of Silus Hustted, age 60. Silus has two young daughters, Harriet 12, and Rosella, 9. Silus is widowed, and his real estate is valued at $500. I'm searching for Edward's parents. I believe they may be Thomas Vail and Mary Cottrell. Mary died young, and I believe Thomas's second wife was Ann Mariah Husted. Can anyone confirm any of this and/or tell me the relationship if any between Silus Hustted and Ann Mariah Husted?
