Abigails' parents were John Huss (born about 1785 in PA., son of Elisha Huss (b. 1760) and Rachel Heaton B. 1764). John Married Elizabeth (Elisabeth) Heaton (born abt. 1792 in PA). She was the daughter of William and Abigail Heaton.
Elisha Huss (John's father) was the son of Johannes and Mary Huss. (Elisha HUss is the great-uncle of John Huss of Iowa- who my husband is descended from). Elisha and Mary lived in Chester Co., PA in 1765.
As a child Elisha Huss lived in Chester CO., was north of Cecil Co, Maryland. There was a large contained swapm called "wild cat swamp" and later called "Cat Swamp". This swamp was the center of a large Bohemian settlement in America which extended into PA. The Bohemian River was named for this group of settlers.
Abigail Huss married Jacob Rinehart. I have a photo of her grandaughter, Jo (Joanna) Rinehart. She is the daughter of Abigail's son, William Rinehart.
