My name is Denis Lalonde and I am currently doing the family tree for my
wife. I was quite pleased to find on the Gen Forum a reference to
Pierre Hurtubise and Euphrosine Lalonde. We have been able to track my
wife's ancestry, through the National Archives in Ottawa, to Joseph Hurtubise, one of the sons
of Pierre and Euphrosine. Joseph H married Léocadie St-Aubin on August 29, 1872
in Ile du Calumet (Ste-Anne), Québec.
One of the daughters of Joseph and Léocadie, Aurore Hurtubise, married Israel Pelletier
on July 12, 1909 in Vinton Quebec (near Ile du Calumet and Campbell's Bay, Quebec).
One of their daughters, Wilda Pelletier, married Elie Lance on October 21, 1940 in
Otter Lake Quebec. Wilda and Elie are my wife's mother and father.
I believe this is all part of the same family tree on the Hurtubise
side. If you believe this is correct, I would appreciate any information
you might have leading us back to the first Hurtubise (Heurtebise.) to
come to Canada. At this point I am at the Louis Hurtubise - Brigitte
Minville segment of the tree (married February 04, 1782 in Montreal -
Notre Dame). However, I do not have the exact date and location
for the marriage of Pierre and Euphrosine Lalonde. Can you share that and
any other information about the Hurtubise family with me.
If you would like any of the information we have collected
on the Joseph H - Aurore H - Israel Pelletier branch, let me know.
Thank you very much for any assistance you can provide.
Un gros merci.
