My focus has been on the Foster families in that area but I've picked up some information on the Hurts because they were neighbors to the Fosters up in Raleigh Parish. I have a will of Moses Hurt of Nottoway Parish, Amelia Co, in 1783. Is that the Moses Hurt you mean? I don't know if there was a relationship between this William and Moses. It would seem likely as they lived in the same area. I also have a record of a Moses Hurt from Caroline Co in 1760(some of the Fosters came to Amelia Co from Caroline Co). Did your Moses come from Caroline Co?
