I have only traced my line back to John Hurst in 1701 in Virginia. That branch of the family came from England and after Virginia went to East Tennessee. Most stayed there for many years however, some went to Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois and Missouri. Mine came straight from Tennessee to Texas. I have not attempted anything any farther back because I still have so much documentation to do on the generations since John. However I'm sure there is some connection...there are so many Hursts!I would be happy to share info
