Sheila, I did the Y-33 kit on my father. He matched Dave & Ron Hurley in every marker except #390.
My father was 23 and, Dave & Ron were 24. They are a match to 9 generations. My father Bill Gates didn't match one single Gates in the DNA test. I don't know where the Gates came in at. I thought maybe, a Hurley had a son and was widowed. Then, she may have remarried to a Gates. And, the son took the step father's name. Or maybe an adoption took place. Just some kind of connection. I really don't know anything about the Hurley family line. But, I'm interested
in it now. Ancestry.com has the Y-33 marker DNA test kits at a very reasonable price. So, far counting myself there are 5 Hurley's that have contributed DNA. Any help or suggestions are welcomed. Thank-you, Donna Gates Williams
